Summer is here which means I am ready for that healthy, sunkissed glow! Except I don’t actually want to get it from the sun lol. I’m pretty careful about sun exposure, especially on my face, because it’s the biggest cause of pre-mature aging.
That being said, I just feel like I look so much better when I’ve got a tan! Don’t you? I recently shared on my wellness instagram account my favorite product for self tanning my face + how I like to apply it.
Product breakdown:
- My favorite daily SPF is this one – it is so moisturizing yet light on the skin and soaks in really well. 1 pump is the perfect amount for face & neck.
- These self tanning drops are the GOAT! The reviews sold me and I have to say it’s my new holy grail, I’m SO glad I found this product!! I use 3-4 drops usually every other day for a super natural looking, warm glow. They work so well, don’t look orange, and DON’T have that fake tan smell!! I have the shade medium.
- My favvvorite face serum is this one – I use 5-6 drops at night all over my face and neck, but I like to add 1 drop to the lotion/self tan mixture. The DHA in self tanning products dries out skin, so I like to add this little boost of moisture to counteract that.
How to apply:
- In your hand, add 1 pump of daily SPF.
- Add desired number of drops to the lotion (I typically do 3-4).
- Add 1 drop face serum to boost moisture content.
- Mix all together in your palm & apply evenly to face and neck.
- Wash your hands after to be sure they don’t get stained!
Here is a before & after for you – the pic on the top is my bare face without any sunless tanner. The photo on the right is after applying 4 drops on two back to back days. It gives a nice subtle glow, and once I apply makeup it looks even more natural!
