In this post, learn how to make the most delicious Sourdough Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwiches that the whole family will love.
I am so excited to share with you guys one of my favorite make-ahead breakfasts, Sourdough Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwiches. This breakfast is protein packed and perfect to make ahead and freeze for later.
For the sourdough english muffins in this recipe, I used one of my favorite recipes from a fellow blogger, Farmhouse on Boone. I love her recipe – it’s so simple and I’ve made it dozens of times. I mix up the dough the night before and the sandwiches come together quickly when I am ready to assemble them. If you are new to sourdough, I have a whole post on how to make a sourdough starter here.
Let’s jump in to how I make these mouthwatering Sourdough Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwiches.

To make ahead:
These yummy egg sandwiches make for a great prep ahead breakfast too! To make them ahead of time, simple follow the directions as usual, and then prep sandwiches to freeze: wrap each sandwich in parchment or wax paper and store in a plastic freezer bag. When you are ready to reheat, pull them out of the freezer the night before to allow them to thaw completely. Then bake at 350°F for 10-15 minutes or until heated through.
