Who doesn’t want long, flowing mermaid locks?
Also who doesn’t love an easy, inexpensive DIY? 😉
Well if you answered yes to both of those questions (if we’re friends, you def did) then you’re in luck!
This DIY hair spray has essential oils that help to promote hair growth, heyooo! I’ve seen some pretty crazy before & afters (both men & women) in our oily Facebook groups. It’s pretty incredible! Note: I only use YL essential oils (you can read more about why here) and they’re really the only ones I trust to put on my skin. But do your own research! I spritz this goddess elixir all over my wet hair after I get out of the shower, but if you really want to up the hair-growth-promoting factor, you can also spray it directly on your roots every night before bed (Post-partum mamas, I’m looking at you!) Also, there is such a tiny amount of oil in this recipe that is heavily diluted in water, so it should not make your hair oily/greasy if you’re worried about that!
Ready to get rolling? Here’s what you’l need:
16 oz glass bottle (I use this one)
Rosemary EO
Lavender EO
Cedarwood EO
Water
Witch Hazel (optional – I like this one)
To Make:
- Fill up 16oz glass bottle with water most of the way
- Add 10 drops each rosemary, lavender, and cedarwood essential oils
- Add a splash a witch hazel*
*Witch hazel will help the oils distribute into the water. You can totally skip this step – just give the spray a good shake each time before applying.
Well, that’s all folks! Easy peasy. Once you have the supplies to make this, you can make this over and over again for so cheap!! DIYs for the win!
